What is a Pfizer Gold Plus Calf?

Pfizer Gold Plus calves come from dams that have been vaccinated with Bovi-Shield® GOLD FP® or CattleMaster® GOLD FP according to label directions.

Vaccinating nursing calves with one of the Pfizer Gold vaccine options protects your investment by stimulating the calf's immune systems as colostral protection declines. It is during this period that your calves are most vulnerable to infection and vaccination with a Pfizer Gold vaccine option can help reduce the incidence of bovine respiratory disease. For optimal immunity calves should be immunized again at, or around weaning.

NEW Pfizer Gold Plus Ear Tags

Personalized Pfizer Gold Plus ear tags will be available to all producers using the Pfizer Gold Plus program. When it comes time to purchase your ear tags, you must sign a document to confirm 2 things:

  1. You have vaccinated your dams with Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or CattleMaster GOLD FP according to label directions
  2. That you will purchase the appropriate doses for one of the 3 Pfizer Gold calf vaccination options and vaccinate those calves between one month of age and at least 2 weeks prior to weaning

These ear tags will be branded Pfizer Gold Plus, and can be personalized with your ranch name/your name/management numbers etc. These tags will allow you to promote your BVD PI free calves and your conscientious approach to vaccination.

At the time of purchase of your Pfizer Gold vaccines, complete the registration form, submit it along with your invoices, and Pfizer will reimburse you $0.25 for each Pfizer Gold Plus ear tag purchased.
